Rules of behaviour within the spaces that we occupy are constantly changing as the continuous advance in technology is enabling new patterns of interactivity. Contemporary technologies are not only changing the ways we interact with architecture as occupants, but as designers too. Increased computing powers have enabled the inception of sophisticated robotic and sensing technologies, ML and AI systems that are now able to simplify the design processes allowing creation of advanced and complex design solutions. Latent Spaces - is a manifestation of such tools to explore novel ways of interacting with technology that enables a bespoke approach towards designing architectural environments - an approach that facilitates and empowers inclusion of public voice as a design tool. The installation consists of a 4x6 grid of monitors that are continuously exhibiting AI augmented images of selected architectural environments, that were ‘renovated’ by the participants.
